Autumn Leaves floating on a Pond

“Autumn Leaves floating on a Pond”
Acrylic on Canvas – September 2017

A triptych finger painting, I wanted this one to emulate the waves of a pond. To me, it contains the frequency and vibrations that intersect and move objects around – in this case various types of fall leaves. I want to peer into it, to see if anything is swimming beneath, to see how it reflects the sky above, to pick up a leaf and watch it float back down. To stick my finger in the wetness to see how cool and refreshing the water is. To blow on the leaves and see how fast they can float away. To drop another leaf or pebble and break the surface to watch the ripples that emerge. Just a painting to ignite a spark of creativity.
