Acrylic on Canvas – March 2016
Ever since my mom died, I’ve been seeing white floaty seeds. Not even necessarily dandelion seeds, but white floating things – all around the world, in all sorts of seasons, whenever I least expect it. And then my mind goes to my mom. Remembering how she taught me to blow on dandelions and make a wish when I was a little girl. I would be having a picnic with hubs under the eiffel tower and one will float by. I’d be driving to work in Korea and one would have one get stuck and then float away from my windshield. I’ll be gardening in my backyard and one will dance in front of me. I like to think of them as hopeful messages of love telling me to keep going, keep dreaming and keep working on trying to make the impossible possible.
