We love Samgyupsal! For those who don’t know, it’s basically thick slabs of bacon. We don’t eat it that often, but when we do we feel like we’re being treated. It’s usually delicious everywhere you go, and it’s typically not that expensive.

About two years ago we stumbled upon a restaurant that serves it that has since become our favorite! It’s a little hole in the wall joint located in an older section of Suwon Station. You know, the kind of place that usually serves amazing food. This place is no exception. It’s always the same servers working there, and we think they might be the co-owners. They serve only fresh pork never pre-frozen, and their side dishes are some of the best we’ve ever tasted. They seem to season everything just right.

The other night we had a friend Alex stay with us. She used to live in Korea for several years, and a few months ago finished working at her school. She’s been traveling to other countries ever since and the other evening came back to begin working at a new job.

And since it was her very first night back in Korea, we thought we would take her somewhere special….. so we did. ☺

Afterwards we strolled home instead of taking a taxi. It was a lovely evening.
