Acrylic on Canvas – April 2015

Sakura flowers (Japanese) or Cherry blossoms are one of my favorite aspects of having lived in Asia. I loved cherry blossom season. I was super depressed my first month in Korea and once the flowers bloomed it helped me get through that first year (well that and meeting Richard!) I love them enough that I have cherry blossoms tattooed onto my painting arm. I’m actually kinda bummed that I’m missing it this year and will be doing so every year. Seeing my friends posts and videos about being out and enjoying the season made me want to paint these beautiful flowers. Honestly I feel like I’ve tried to do so before but it’s never turned out like I wanted it to before this painting.

This artwork is a one of a kind piece hand painted by Stephanie Ishler of Hallyu Back. All artwork is for sale unless otherwise specified. If you are interested in purchasing this original painting, contact us here!

I love this one, too!!!! I love cherry blossoms/sakura trees~! I’m in Child Dev. at school and we had to take care of fake, crying babies. Mine was SUPPOSED to be a boy (as I don’t want my own, I want to adopt three boys) but I switched with a friend (whom had a girl) and named “her” Sakura. I guess it fits as I have a Japanese last name: Sakura Koyama….sigh. I still LOVE that name!
