I love trying new snakcs in Korea! Honestly, I’ve been here a bunch of years now, and there are still a WHOLE LOTTA THINGS I haven’t tried yet! Do today I’m trying one of the most popular street foods in Korean – that’s been made into a snack!

Dokboki (also spelled like this ) is a snack that’s one of the favorites amongst Koreans, and especially younger people. It’s most commonly known as street food, but it can also be ordered in restaurants as well. I know I’ve ordered plenty myself when I’m dining at a Kimbab restaurant.

It should be no surprise then that they’ve turned this into a delicious snack food you can buy in a package as well. I must say, I’m not a huge fan of ALL snack foods you can find at the corner store here. There’s such a large selection snacks here! They have native Korean snacks as well as some we are more familiar with in the west, and I tend to lean more towards snacks I’m familiar with when I’m hungry. Therefore, I’m super stoked to have tried this because A) it’s Korean and B) the camera caught my genuine reaction of how it tastes on film!

I must say, I’m so pleased that this tastes great! It’s a staple more or less here, and I think they have captured the essence of it in a snack food. Way to go Korea!

If you’re interested in trying it yourself, here’s a link where you can purchase it online and have it shipped to your house!
