Abstract Acrylic on Canvas – April 2016
The word world is taken from old English meaning Age of Man. Sometimes I have a hard time feeling really connected and loving this place that we are in.. this world.. that is in fact still controlled by men. Yet across the distance – there are sisters and brothers that are unhappy with our world and want to make it a better place. I too am one of those who tries to hold onto hope for a better and brighter future for the next generation. It’s far easier to see the negative and think that it’s going to fall to pieces – growing up evangelical sure does a lot to keep one’s mind on really dastardly end of the world philosophies. We are undergoing a revolution right now. Like the industrial revolution of our great grandparents this could greatly change and shape the way that we and those who follow us will live and interact. This can be terrifying or it could be soothing and hopeful. For think how the industrial revolution made the world a better place and an easier one to live in. With every terrible thing that has happened in the world, there will also be good things that come out of it. These are some thoughts I want to focus on.
