When I first started doing Top 5’s for HallyuBack, I started thinking about all of the lists that I could make that people would be interested in. Naturally, ranking my favorite Korean actors was one of the first things that came to mind. These guys with their smoldering good looks, chiseled abs, cheeky grins, shampoo ad hair and impeccable fashion taste are certainly not something for any drama lover to complain about. Heck, when I first got into dramas my screen saver was a mix of their faces!

And frankly, let’s be honest, you can’t have a good drama without a smexy lead that is totally swoonworthy. It’s almost impossible.. Name one.. seriously! I don’t know if I can..

Well, back in 2012 I made my initial Top 5 Korean actors and it’s 2014 now. There have been a lot of changes to the drama world, and I’ve discovered many new smexy Korean men. It’s about time I updated the list for sure! I did make one stipulation though; I couldn’t choose any of the guys that I had already chosen to be on my previous list. Believe it or not, this was actually a difficult clause! To not include Gong Yoo was difficult, Jang Geun Seok too finished off Beautiful Man looking particularly dapper, and while Rain isn’t making any new drama in Korea at the moment, I’ve been singing 30 sexy in my head a lot lately.. he is the prince of Kpop after all and a mighty fine actor!
