When I think of huge and well known Kpop idol groups that have a lot of talent that has crossed over beyond music, EXO comes to mind.

They’ve been through a lot over the years but still remain consistently popular and give everyone a run for their money in the charts.  But music is but one way that kpop entertainers make money and build lasting careers that go beyond their youthful image and fame.  One of the ways that they do this is through Korean dramas.  Ever since ‘EXO Next Door’ in 2015 became such a hit web drama series that it was remade into a film that went to the Cannes film festival, you can’t deny that these guys BELONG on a screen.

That’s not to say that some may have more acting talent than others – D.O. for example blew us ALL away with his roles in ‘It’s Okay, That’s Love’ (2014) and ‘Hello Monster’ (2015) and has since turned his focus from small screen supporting roles, to lead roles in movies where he can really go all out.  And the multi-talented men have not only started drama and movie careers in Korea, they’re also crossing over into Japan and China! Way to ride that hallyu wave all over Asia!
