“A Spring Puddle”

This painting was intended to be a floral abstract. I wanted something that looked like a bouquet and harbored the colors found within a spring bundle of flowers. Yet I also wanted it to reflect a washed out effect that reflected rain as it has been rather dry this summer and rain is something that would make me very happy. An interesting piece this one was painted live on our Twitch stream about the same time as a very controversial video that we made came out. Having not edited the video or screened it prior to being uploaded I was quite taken aback when I was bombarded in the stream with some nasty troll messages. In this manner however, the painting felt for me, and seemed to reflect my sadness and desire for beauty to stand despite the “rain” that was people trying to hurt me emotionally attempting to wash it away.
