“Blue Dragon”

I’ve always loved fantasy and fiction, ever since I was a little girl. My first memory is actually a nightmare. I had a dream that I was trapped in a stone facade with a fire breathing dragon. I remember waking up terrified. But ever since I’ve been obsessed with princess stories and fantasy elements. Not surprisingly, the fantasy art painted on the old castle fortress of Hwaesong where we lived in Korea was a favorite place of mine to go and see. I loved the colorful dragons and tigers. I never tried to paint any of them while we were there however. Recently, Richard and I started watching the latest season of Game of Thrones. I’m a huge fan of the series – not surprising.. Heck, I even have a House Targaryen shirt. Anyways, I decided to try my hand at painting a dragon. I tried to focus more on the Korean fantasy and colorful element than scary. Hope you like it!
