“Cold Clearing”

A landscape, this one is quite colorful though it has a bit of coldness to it despite the warmth of the sky and its reflections in the water. I think I was reflecting hard on my own personal struggles. It was painted near mother’s day and its a time of year that makes me sad. Partially because of a mistake I made in my youth, choosing to stay at school over Mother’s day weekend and focus on finals and enjoying last moments with my friends who were getting ready to graduate instead of making the trek home. Little did I know it was going to be my last chance to celebrate the holiday with her. I know that it’s okay, but it just makes the time of year a bit more difficult.
