I wanted to make a lovely Seoul based painting that combined one of the most picturesque festivals Korea has – the lantern festival. Now I’ve never actually seen them light off the sky lanterns but it’s a painting and I have creative freedom to see it as I want to – they use it in korean dramas all the time! It turned into a painting that just simply makes me happy.
