“Hidden Places”

This is a mystery painting. It’s essentially two paintings in one. First is the lovely landscape painting devoid of creatures or buildings that is just whimsical and done with soft pastels. Then, when the lights are off the glow in the dark elements emerge. Sadly, I was unable to properly photograph it, but there is a scene that captures many of my memories of traveling to the country of Cambodia with hubs. It was one of the first places that we had ever visited together where neither of us had ever been. Hubs has done a lot of traveling in his life and has been to a lot of countries. His travels were part of what drew me to him in the first place as I loved hearing about his adventures that seemed to me straight out of an adventure novel. But in him having been places before there’s also a lack of joint adventure. This made Cambodia an even more special place for me.. besides the great food, lovely weather, fascinating historic sights, elephants and people who broke my heart and made me smile.
