Honeymoon Affair

I painted this after spending the day at the beach by myself. You see, I don’t do a whole lot on my own. I probably should, but the majority of my day is spent interacting with my husband as not only do we live together but also we work together. In this sense, this painting is my own affair of loving and taking care of myself. It’s really hard to love others and care for them without loving, taking care of and replenishing yourself first. And you have to do what is best for you – even if it doesn’t make sense to others. In my case, going to the beach by myself where there’s no cellphone signal.. and leaving right before sunset (I hate driving in the dark!)
