“Maki for Spring” – Acrylic on Canvas

Seeing my little girl’s eyes shining as she ran around her grandparent’s house and watched the birds outside the window, she indeed fulfills her name, which means hope.  I have hope for spring, for our life here in New York and look forward to when I can see her knee deep in grass and hiding under the flowers, eyes shining and enjoying life.
