“Monarch”

This one was actually a suggestion from my husband Richard. I was feeling the urge to paint and he suggested a butterfly. I think monarch butterflies are quite amazing creatures with the ability to travel and migrate such long distances. Not to mention that for someone very dear to my heart, seeing a monarch butterfly reminds her of her father who passed away. I thought it was appropriate since I was thinking about the loss of my own mother.
