“Northern Lights”

I wanted to paint a snowy scene, but when I looked outside it was dark. And so I let my mind wander.. to a place further north. A place where the night sky is awash in glorious color that is reflected on all (including the water) around it.. I feel like this painting captured a glimpse of that.
