While there are plenty of new Kdramas that have come out in August, I haven’t really found myself watching any of them.  I think it’s because there is just too much going on this month for me personally, not to mention I have plenty of kdramas to catch up on that I’ve put on hold.

However, already September looks like it’s going to be a great month for dramaland!

I have to admit, due to busy schedules, this week’s top 5 was actually made in advance.. (like pre-KCON).  So there’s a bit of new information that’s come out since.  For example, My Daughter Geum Sa-Wol now has a leading man.  Yoon Hyun Min is getting his first leading role after already having quite a few great dramas under his belt (Fall in Love with Soon Jung, Discovery of Romance, Witch’s Romance, Inspiring Generation, Cruel City, etc.)   So I’m actually more excited to see this one than I was before.

Speaking of KCON though, one of the most common questions I was asked was what dramas were coming out that I was looking forward to.  My answer was always either Because it’s the First Time or She Was Pretty.  This varies depending upon age.  Because it’s the first time looks to be a great young adult drama with a montage of coming of age stories.  It features an assortment of young actors that are all going to be trying to prove their acting abilities.  But really the draw for me is that these are short episode dramas with Minho of SHINee at the helm.  If you’re a fan of his acting by all means, keep this one on the must see list!  The one I’m most looking forward to though is She Was Pretty.  Like many others I found myself shipping the Park Seo Joon and Hwang Jung Eum combo in Kill Me, Heal Me and to put it frankly, am stoked that they’ve become canon.. at least in one drama!  Also it stars Choi Si Won and I haven’t seen that man in a drama in FAR too long!
