This painting is a bit of an optical illusion. In that it’s almost like it’s not sure what it really is.. It’s a place, but it’s not a place that I’ve ever been to. And is it a body of water in the foreground or is it an ocean of sand? Regardless, whether by car, camel, boat or foot it’s coming in to land.
