“Aqua Lung”

This was a fun painting that I feel like I ended up painting because I didn’t really want to paint fish. I think this is because my last name starts with “ish” and so of course I got called fish a couple of times in grade school. Mind you – I’m far from the world’s best swimmer. Anyways, it was suggested to me by my friend the next day that I should try to paint a fish after we found a beautiful video clip of a koi fish pond. So, I challenged myself. I’m quite happy with the final result and I like how it looks like the lily pad is a heart and the pond looks like the pond ripples are veins running through it.
