I must say, going into watching this drama I was pretty excited. I’m actually a big Yoon Sang Hyun fan. He really got my attention back in 2008 with Three Dad’s One Mom, then Take Care of the Young Lady and Secret Garden. So when I heard he was going to be in a drama I was really intrigued. Add in Lee Jong Suk and Lee Bo Young in a supernatural romantic comedy and it had all signs pointing to this one being a winner.

I have to say, for the first episode in I was pretty disappointed. Maybe it’s because I was tired from spending all of my time writing finals, but it’s almost like there was so much happening in the first episode that it was exhausting. Not to mention that this has been a big trend this year – to set up high action in dramas right from the first episode in order to tell the backstory. It reminded me a lot of ‘Incarnation of Money’ in this. The problem is that despite the quirks that they added in (never saw a girl get shot in the face with roman candles in a drama before) I still found it really predictable and just wanted to get down to business.

As for the characters, I was really looking forward to Yoon Sang Hyun but, whoever his stylist was has a very unusual taste for men’s apparel. He’s got a dark suit on with black shoes and white socks straight out of a Michael Jackson music video and large horn-rimmed glasses that take away from his good looking face! In episode 1 he’s practically a write off, but I hope that changes.

Lee Jung Suk on the other hand has all the good looks for both of them. The actor may be too old to honestly play the role but I’ve got no complaints. He looks good, his role is cool and I want to see more of him.. specifically.

So I’m one episode in and on the fence as to whether or not I’ll watch any more of the drama. I’d love to know what you think if you’ve seen any of the episodes!

the blooper reel 😉
