“Lovebirds”

I am a cat person – not a bird person.  But that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate birds.  My in-laws love bird watching and have been trying to teach me some of them over the years.  Now I actually find myself watching them and the squirrels with our kittens and trying to figure out what kinds live in our backyard.  This particular piece was actually based off of a photo that I found that I thought was a beautiful representation of spring.  Two birds – male and female in springtime flowers.  I had to paint it!
